I am an independent engineer, looking for engineering work in AI infrastructure, remote.

I want to build the layer that GPU and AI workloads run on: scheduling, isolation, networking and tracing, close to the hardware and the driver. I work next to the kernel rather than in it, using Python, Go, Rust and eBPF, on a base of virtualization and security. 🐝

For ten years I built and ran scalable production platforms in Sydney. Before that I designed a cloud API over OpenVZ, VMware ESX and XenServer, did penetration testing in Sydney, and helped build a payment gateway for the Brunei MoF. In my own time I study KVM, virtio and the NVIDIA driver interface. 🪝

I am exact where it matters: correctness, and the boundaries between components. Everywhere else I choose the simplest design that meets the requirement, measure before I claim, and remove what does not earn its place. 🧮

These posts are notes for myself, written clearly enough for other readers. Outside work you will find me with coffee, my KTM adventure bike or our daughter. 🏔️
